Volunteers plea to aid youngsters

THE Prince's Trust in Wiltshire is calling on businessmen and women to volunteer their skills and experience to help young people get into business.

The Prince's Trust Business Programme helps 18 to 30-year-olds start their own businesses by offering low interest loans and grants to those who have no other means of raising the capital.

It also provides continued support for the first three years of trading by assigning a volunteer business mentor who provides regular advice.

The trust is looking for enthusiastic and energetic people with business experience and a listening ear, to give up one day a week to share business expertise with a small number of young people.

Darren Perkins, the general area manager for the west, said: "If you feel you could guide a small caseload of entrepreneurs on the road to success the trust would love to hear from you.

By sharing your skills you could make a real difference."

To become a mentor or co-ordinator contact Mr Perkins on 0117 970 6600.
