Will has to sit it out as form goes missing

WILL Edwards was a disgruntled spectator at Meadow Lane on Wednesday night after he was forced out of Biddestone's squad due to a missing registration form.

Last season's skipper was not involved in the first match of the season on Saturday but was hoping to make his appearance against Westbury on Wednesday.

But as the team sheets were being made up it was revealed Edwards still did not have a registration number, due to a lost form, and he was forced to pull out of the squad.

He said: "I was not happy. I was all ready for the game and then I get told I can't play because my form had been mislaid.

"I have signed a new one and hopefully that will go through in time for me to be involved at Weston on Saturday. I don't really understand what happened all I know is it was very frustrating."

Edwards insists there should be no panic after two successive defeats and is confident his side's fortunes will improve starting with tomorrow's trip to Weston.

He said: "There is a buzz in the changing room this season and I think we are all a lot more confident than we were last year.

"Our start has been disappointing but we have got the players here to turn that round and I am sure we will.

"Our main problem is picking up points away from home. I still don't think we have won away in the Western League and if you don't perform away then you are always going to struggle."
