Major minor rally

NEW REG FEATURE: The North Wilts Branch of the Morris Minor Owners Club held their annual rally at STEAM, the museum of the Great Western Railway.

While their branch is quite small in numbers, they managed to encourage more than 40 cars to attend which came from as far afield as Christchurch, Sunbury-on -Thames and south Wales.

There were Morris Minors of different models, ages and conditions, plus a few guest cars.

The rally was a static event and the cars were displayed directly in front of the STEAM museum and this combined two of the most famous English institutions, the famous GWR and equally famous Morris Minor.

"We would like to thank STEAM and the McArtherGlen Outlet Village for their hospitality and the stall holders from the farmers' market who graciously moved their vehicles so we could hold our rally," said the chairman of the North Wilts branch, Roger Briance.

"We had a good day and some of the cars which attended were of a high standard."
