Football fun at Bassett

MORE than 60 boys and girls took part in the second of Wootton Bassett's soccer fun weeks:

They took part in the FA Soccer Stars Programme which involved tests in shooting, dribbling, turns, speed, heading, and running with the ball.

A majority of the youngsters achieved a five-star standard, with many of the older age group attaining a six-star award.

There were two awards in each of the three age groups the ACE Award for Attitude Commitment and Effort, and the PEP Award for Performance Effort and Progress

Winners

A group ACE Tom Geerah: PEP Sam Plumb.

B group ACE Mitchell Terry and Rosie Fry: PEP Lydia Dinsmore and Louis Freeguard

C group ACE Josh Baker: PEP Chris Davies.

Competition Winners: Football Golf Nathan Tearle, Scott Twine and Joseph Wright. Penalty competition Louis Freeguard. A special award was presented to Jenna McFadzean to recognise her contribution during the week.

Rob Stephens, Will Tearle, and Steve Yeardley, assisted by Phil Tearle, Dean Wason, Matt Povey and Jonny Aitkenhead undertook coaching.

The third and final fun week starts next Monday.
