Naked walkers case dropped

THREE ramblers who were arrested as they attempted to walk the length of Britain naked have had the case against them dropped.

Stephen Gough, Melanie Roberts and Jeffrey Woodhouse were detained in Wem, north Shropshire, on July 17.

And had been due to appear before magistrates in Shrewsbury.

But court officials said the case was not heard and understood that the Crown Prosecution Service had decided not to proceed with breach of the peace charges against the trio.

Two years ago Mr Gough passed along the Ridgeway as part of his first cross-Britain nude trek.
