House of puzzles

SOMETHING a bit puzzling is going on at Lydiard House this summer, and the organisers are asking children to help work it out.

Children's activity puzzles are being held each day throughout the school holidays.

Children have to find possessions of mystery guests who have left clues throughout the state rooms, before filling in The Secret Visitors' quiz sheets.

The aim is to encourage children to identify objects from the past and discover more about the people who used to live at Lydiard Park.

The activity runs until Wednesday, August 31, and is included in cost of admission.

Lydiard House, pictured, is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Admissions for adults is £2.20, Senior Citizens £2 and Juniors £1. Under 5s are free.

There are discounts for Swindon Card holders.
