Help for Thomas

A CABARET show in Highworth raised £1,400 to help an autistic boy go to America for two weeks special treatment.

The Highworth Amateur Dramatic Society decided to give the entire proceeds of their performance on Saturday to the family of Thomas Hunter, 11.

Thomas' mother Sima is a member of the society.

Chairman Roger Legg said: "We're over the moon. It's a great effort."

Sima and her husband Shaun want to take Thomas on a two-week intensive course in Massachusetts next May, organised by the Son-Rise Autism Treatment Centre.
