Robin Hood goes down to the farm for day of fun

Anna Cornell with a piglet Ref: 78666-17THERE was plenty of forest capers at Roves Farm on Saturday for the start of its Robin Hood week.

Robin Hood themed activities included making Robin Hood hats and tractor rides down to the forest to take part in a treasure hunt.

Rupert Burr, who runs the farm in Sevenhampton, said: "We wanted to do something different this year for the children.

"We have created a treasure trail in the little wood where children have to search for a member of Robin Hood's team by following different clues.

"They love riding down in the tractor and exploring the forest."

Dad David Cornell, 39, of South Marston, whose daughter Anna was celebrating her sixth birthday party at the farm with a group of friends, said: "It's an absolutely great idea.

"The children have been having a wonderful time.

"We came to Roves Farm for Anna's birthday last year and she enjoyed herself so much that we decided to come again."
