School is given a new minibus

A SPECIALLY adapted minibus has been presented to a school.

The Lady Taverners, fundraising arm of sporting charity the Lord's Taverners, have handed over the keys to Crowdy's Hill School.

The £33,500 wheelchair accessible minibus will be used to take pupils on educational trips and to local facilities.

Margaret Price, director of The Lady Taverners, said: "It is wonderful to give this minibus to help them in their vital work."

Crowdy's Hill in Jefferies Avenue, Swindon, is a special school for secondary aged pupils with learning difficulties.

There are currently 160 children aged 12 to 18 years attending the school.
