The Motor Show at Wilton House. 23/6/5WILTON House provided a unique backdrop for the third Salisbury Motor Show at the weekend.
In sweltering temperatures over 5,000 visitors flocked to the grounds of the stately home during Saturday and Sunday to take a look at the newest cars on the market including the Daihatsu Sirion, Vauxhall Astra Sport Hatch, Suzuki Jimny 4x4 soft top, Range Rover Sport and the Peugeot 107.
With more than 200 models on display from all the main dealerships in the area, visitors also got the chance to see some top-notch motors courtesy of Wessex Ferrari Club.
The show, sponsored by Salisbury Newspapers and Spire FM, was broadcast live on the radio station. For the first time it featured a range of commercial vehicles including lorries and pick-up trucks.
Dealers paraded a selection of models around the arena on both days.
Russell Topham, Salisbury Newspapers motors and property manager said: "It was a very successful event and the hot weather didn't stop people from coming."
A range of four-wheel drives, sports and classic cars meant there was something for every car fanatic - with Janspeed of Salisbury, new to this year's show, advertising their high performance manifolds, catalysts and exhausts.
Will Sawyer of William Sawyer Daihatsu, based in Andover, said: "It was a great weekend and we were very busy and we booked numerous test drives.
"It was the first event of this type we have attended and from our point of view it was very worthwhile."
