Sloggi's advertising rises high with balloon

A RACY hot air balloon emblazoned with girls in thongs has swept to victory for Britain in a major championship.

The Sloggi balloon, which features four stunning girls, left the competition standing to sail away with top prize.

The breathtaking balloon, piloted by Andrew Holly, took the lead in the third flight in the week-long South African National Championships and stayed out front for the rest of the contest.

Andrew, from Berkeley in Gloucestershire, said: "It was a great achievement for us and we were the first overseas team to win the event in ten years.

"We took the lead on the third flight and were fortunate to hold on to it for the rest of the week.

"We certainly were the team to watch for more reasons than one!"

The Sloggi balloon, which is the first of its kind in the world is manufactured by ballooning specialists Lindstrand. Its unique design makes it three times faster than a standard hot air balloon and it can be seen flying around Britain during the summer, including the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.

A spokesman for Swindon-based Sloggi, a brand which is owned by Triumph International in Groundwell, said: "Our balloon is something to watch out for and people cannot help but stare because the girls look fantastic. It's not everyday you see 40ft models racing through the skies."
