Toddlers walk the walk at the double

Poppy Grant, left, and sister Thea take part in the Twins' Walk-a-Thon Picture Refs: 78013-52/14AN ARMY of toddlers took part in a charity walk around the McArthurGlen Outlet Village in Rodbourne.

They toddled their way around the half-mile route, which stretched from one side of the centre to the other.

The children from the Swindon Twin Support Group raised cash for children's charity Barnardo's and for their group, based at the Toy Box Junction at the Outlet Village.

Jo Cornforth, vice chairman of the group, was delighted so many of the children took part in the event.

She said: "The children walked around with their mums and some staff members. They range from three months to four years so it was quite a way for them to walk.

"As we passed McDonalds they all wanted to stop off but we kept them going."

The group is donating 75 per cent of the money raised to Barnardo's and 25 per cent will go towards the group's fund. The amount raised has yet not been counted.
