Have-a-go jugglers have a ball in the sunshine

Around 50 jugglers came together in Faringdon Park on Saturday to share their skills and celebrate their passion for juggling.

Jake Hirsch-Holland, a professional juggler, was one of the organisers.

"It was really good," he said. "We had quite a few people there.

"The weather was beautiful and it was a really nice day.

"There were people waiting at the park when I arrived who had seen it in the Adver and wanted to have a go. That was great."

Across the globe 80 events to mark World Juggling Day were expected to take place in 20 countries, including Iraq, Japan and Australia.

Jake, 18, first learned to juggle when he was seven and is now a professional juggler runs the Swindon Juggling and Circus Skills Club which meets on Tuesday evenings at the Old Railway Museum.

Seven to 12 year-olds meet from 7pm to 8pm and jugglers over 13, including adults, meet from 8pm to 10pm.
