Cycle for Lyneham

A TEAM of cyclists from RAF Lyneham is returning to base today (Monday) to raise money for a memorial to the Iraq Hercules crash.

Two servicemen from Lyneham and two American servicemen from Germany have cycled 500 miles to raise £5,000 for a memorial for the 10 men who died in the Hercules crash in January.

through Germany, Belgium, Holland and France and will have covered more than 500 miles.

Their aim is to raise around £5000 to fund a permanent memorial to the 10 men who died in the Hercules aircraft crash in Iraq, in January this year.
