The event, organised by GWR FM's Community Trust, gave children the chance to try a wide range of arts and crafts, including marble painting, nail art and hair braiding.

Other popular activities included a bouncy castle, a face-painting stand and the Paint A Landscape competition.

Rachel Addis, GWR FM charity appeals manager, said the aim of the event was "to bring children together to enjoy arts and crafts in an outdoor environment."

A large number of volunteers from local companies and groups were on hand to ensure the event ran smoothly. Among them was Debbie Smith, from the Swindon Bluebell Majorettes, a group that recently benefited from a £500 grant from the Trust to buy new instruments.

All money raised on the day went to the GWR FM Community Trust, who give grants to local charities and voluntary organisations three times a year.
