Reprieve for Forest Green

Northwich manager Steve Burr has vowed to stay with the club despite relegation to the Conference North.

The Vics were demoted at the annual meeting of Conference chiefs, because they do not own the appropriate lease on their Victoria Stadium.

It was good news for Forest Green, who have been handed a reprieve.

Boss Gary Owers, who has only been in the job since May 25, said: "It is a massive turning point with a big slice of good fortune at a crucial time in the club's history.''
