Thank you from the Coate man

FOLLOWING my recent problems with my heart, I just want to record my deepest and sincerest thanks to a few people, because I realise how lucky I am.

My thanks go to all the incredible staff in the cardiac unit at GWH!

You can all praise the politicians for improving the National Health Service, but it is the front -line staff who get paid so poorly and have all the work to do, and put up with so much it is they who deserve ALL the credit.

I must also thank all the customers at Coate Water for the many messages and cards of support and for their understanding over the slightly erratic hours you all experienced for a while, when I was taken ill, and for the kindness they gave to my wife during this difficult time.

Plus a big thank you to all my family and friends.

I am truly overwhelmed by your kindness.

And finally, of course, my special thanks go to my wife Jo who, like so many unsung partners of the sick or injured, has kept everything running smoothly without complaining and is helping me recover so quickly.
