Drama has love in the air

(17147/5)Bradfordians Dramatic Society is once again ready to entertain with their latest summer production at Westwood Manor.

The Bradford on Avon group hope this year's play, Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops To Conquer, will achieve the great success of past performances, which have included Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and Henry Fielding's Tom Jones.

The farcical love story centres on Charles Marlow, an 'upper-class, tongue-tied twit' who learns much-needed lessons in love from Miss Kate Hardcastle.

The group hope, main plot aside, that the secret romance and dysfunctional families will combine to provide a hilarious evening for all.

This year's venue, Westwood Manor, will open early in the evening, giving audiences the opportunity to enjoy a picnic in the grounds.

A covered seating area will also ensure the show will go on whatever the weather.

She Stoops To Conquer runs from June 21-25, with the Manor grounds open from 6.30pm and curtain up at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from Bradford on Avon library or by calling (01225) 863816, priced from £7, with concessions available.
