WESTLEAZE Waters is the water in-form at the moment and it continued last week when in a three-hour match, produced a cracking evening weight of 60-7-8 for Elick Payne, who now has recorded two wins on his very first visit to the water.

Second was Andy Dixey 55-8-8 and third was Mick O'Brien 46-1-8.

n Sections A: Dave Richardson 23-5-0 and Simon Jones 33-5-8.

In the third and final round of the John Telling Memorial match held at Bourton on the Water, John Merchant romped home with 96-2-0 ahead of Ed Bryant 49-9-0 and Steve Reynolds 41-15-0.

Steve Reynolds pipped Arthur Hicks on a weight advantage for the individual honours.

n Teams on the day: 1 NSYO 17 pts, 2 South Cerney Reds 16, 3 tie Golden Cross and Team T 14 pts each.

Overall team winners were Team T 44 pts and South Cerney Reds were closely behind on 43.

n Other results: Wednesday club match at Buscot Lake: 1 Dale Sole 18lb carp on the feeder, 2 Alan Scully 15-5-0, 3 Alan Clarke 12-4-0.

BCA match at Crookwood Farm: 1 John Brady 20lb, 2 Pete Sole 19-2-0, 3 Tommy Tucker 16-4-0, 4 Sid Webb 15-8-0.

Ashton Keynes AC match: Mick Mills won with two bream of 5-5-0 each and another of 5-4-0 for a 15-14-0 total.

Second with one tench of 7-2-0 was Ian Pearce. Third was Mick Hatton with 5-8-0 and fourth Derek Whittle with 4-8-0.
