AN INDUSTRIAL estate is confusing its tenants.
Robert Chequer, of hi-tech firm Prestige Communications has just moved into a new industrial unit at the Equity Trade Centre in Hobley Drive, as part of the business' expansion plans. But there are no less than three names for the business park IO Centre, Hobley Drive and the Equity Trade Centre.
Mr Chequer, said: "We moved in seven weeks ago to try and expand our business, but it is confusing for customers and clients and even the Royal Mail.
"There are three units numbered 17 on the site, so it seems extremely disjointed, even we have difficulty understanding the system here."
The industrial estate has steadily grown, and as new buildings units have been constructed, new names have been added. The estate stands on what was formerly Swindon's Deloro Stellite plant, which later moved to the Cheney Manor Industrial Estate. Prestige Communications is now based at Unit 17 of the Equity Trading Centre, and supplies a wide range of communications equipment.
