Mum points way to Stringfellows' toys

Nina Chaplin, who has just bought the Stringfellows' franchise for Swindon Ref:77744-43Swindon mother-of-four, Nina Chaplin is aiming to bring a bit of upmarket spice to Swindon as one of the first distributors for Stringfellows' new retail business.

While the Stringfellows brand is well known for restaurants and table dancing bars in London and Paris, the new venture is looking to expand into a more direct form of contact with potential customers.

Stringfellows retail will sell all merchandise through private parties run by agents, much in the same vein as Ann Summers.

However, Mrs Chaplin insists that Stringfellows is not looking to compete directly with the high-street sex shop chain.

She said: "People know that Stringfellows is an upmarket name that would only promote quality merchandise.

"In contrast to Ann Summers we will also be looking to serve the men-only and couple's markets.

"Many men currently feel that they are excluded from the parties.

"While feedback from women suggests that they would feel more comfortable making purchases if they knew that their husband was likely to enjoy the product as much as they would."

Mrs Chaplin will be running a stall on Saturday outside Primark in the town centre.

She is encouraging anyone who is curious about Stringfellows' parties or would like to find out about becoming an agent to come along and speak to her.
