Nursery is praised by inspectors

THE Asquith Nursery, in Inverary Road, Wroughton, has received the highest praise and top rating in its Ofsted inspection.

Among the favourable comments the report refers to the good support it provides to develop the children's independence and self-esteem.

Nursery manager Theresa Birch said: "I am absolutely thrilled at how hard all the staff have worked towards receiving this significant recognition.

"It really was a great team effort and I'm delighted that the report highlighted so many of the staff's excellent attributes.

"It mentioned how well we all work together as a team and develop strong partnerships with parents, how much we extend the children's communication and language skills at every opportunity, and the positive attitude we take to the children's understanding of the world."

The report also commented on how much the children enjoy exploring books and quickly recognise familiar words.

It also said they love designing and building with construction materials.

Staff were also praised for how they communicated.

The report said parents receive detailed information about their children and the staff are always happy to spend time talking to them.
