Pupils' authentic French visit

Veronica Wallace and Joel Boehler whose French-style cafe is proving a hit with students in Warminster who are learning the language (30472/1)CHILDREN had a taste of French language and culture at a Warminster caf this week.

Pupils from Warminster Prep School and Kingdown School had their French lessons in Le Caf Journal, which opened in the High Street at the end of last year.

The children had to order their food and pay for it in French.

Frenchman Joel Boehler, who owns the caf with Veronica Wallace, also asked them questions in French.

Miss Wallace said: "It has been fantastic. It's great. In the back room it feels like you are on holiday because it is all very French. There are French books, newspapers and music. It's like they have been taken from Warminster to somewhere in France."

She said she hoped more children would visit the caf for their French lessons in the future.
