Just say no

I AM writing in response to the devastating development planned for our local beauty spot, Coate Water.

To me Swindon is a perfect example of mass destruction for greed. How can the people of Swindon sit back and let the powers that be do what the hell they like to our countryside?

To me this is a battle of spirit, community and nature against state power, capital and industry.

Do we really need another business park or supermarket or more houses in an already bricked up, spiritless town?

Community spirit is being smothered by Tarmac and no one is shouting no more!

I feel appalled and heartbroken our council would even consider building on such a loved country park which is part of our heritage.

People of Swindon, just say no.
