Toddle in to help Barnado's kids

HUNDREDS of toddlers across Wiltshire will be putting their best foot forward in this year's Foresters Big Toddle to raise money for children less fortunate than themselves.

Parents are invited to support the annual sponsored walk for the under fives, organised by Barnardo's South West.

Regionally, more than 6,000 children are already taking part in the event, which last year raised more than £50,000 to protect local children from poverty and abuse.

In Wiltshire alone, more than 20 groups have registered, representing more than 850 children.

Free event packs are now available, crammed full of posters, leaflets, hats, stickers and certificates to encourage pre-schools, playgroups and nurseries to sign up for the walk.

Individual organisers keep 25 per cent of the proceeds to support their own group or another local cause.

Barnardo's South West will use the rest of the money to support its network of family centres.
