Service awards for station staff

THREE Swindon station staff have been nominated for First Great Western's inhouse award for customer service.

Rail customers using the station nominated the First Great Western employees for the First For Service award in recognition of their outstanding commitment and contribution to customer service. Supervisors Lee Glover, 30, and Carol Linley, 57, were nominated for professionalism and assistance.

Service delivery assistant Pat Cooke, 44, was nominated for the work she has done within the station. The flowers she has put on the platforms were cited as "brightening the station" and "cheering passengers".
