PAUL Brickley insists his Westbury United side are heading in the right direction after a brilliant goalkeeping performance denied them three points on Saturday.
Visitors' keeper Chris Fox produced a string of saves that kept his side in the match and almost earnt Cadbury Heath an undeserved victory.
With the hosts continually frustrated by Fox's superlatives, Grant George volleyed the visitors into a 40th minute lead with their only shot on goal in the match.
Westbury piled forward looking for the equaliser and eventually broke Fox's resistance on 78 minutes when Pete Ayton tapped home from close range.
Brickley said: "It was ridiculous. Our goalkeeper Lewis Porter touched the ball three times, once to pick it out of the net and twice to deal with back passes.
"We have created 17 or 18 good chances but their keeper was outstanding and they also defended very well. But we missed some excellent chances. We played well though and I am happy with how things are going. We are improving all the time and that is all I can ask."
Westbury started well but Marc Lanfear and Paul Beavers were both denied by the athletic Fox.
They were made to pay for their missed chances on 40 minutes when Luke James' long throw caused panic in the Westbury penalty area and George was able to smash the ball home from close range.
After the break, Westbury again totally dominated but continued to be frustrated.
Wayne Wheeler's pace was a constant threat and on 78 minutes his run shot produced another good save from Fox but Ayton was on hand to tap in the rebound.
Jerad O'Pray then went close three times to snatching the winner while Fox stopped Matt Bown's diving header.
