Youngsters can follow the trail to find faries

A glimpse of magic Anya and Imogen Milner on the fairy trail at Lydiard House. Ref: -36A FAIRY trail has brought a touch of magic to Lydiard House in West Swindon.

Staff set up the trail all through the house as part of its Flowers And Fairies exhibition.

Museum assistant Maria Bastin explained how it works.

"Each room has a different theme," she said.

"The library is the primrose fairy room, the dining room is for the hyacinth fairy, the drawing room is the daffodil fairy room, the winter fairy is in the bedroom and the pansy fairy is in the dressing room.

"All the children who take part get an A4 sheet of clues and they have to find the fairy in each room.

"They get a certificate at the end to say they've completed the trail.

"It's been really popular and the house smells lovely with all the flowers."

The trail will be at the house until tomorrow.

The house is open today until 5pm today and from 2pm to 5pm tomorrow.

Entry to the house costs £2 for adults and £1 for children.
