Discrimination in the spotlight

PROBLEMS of workplace discrimination faced by ethnic minorities and disabled people cannot be tackled in the same way, according to research by a Swindon charity.

Working For Opportunities, based in Shaftesbury Avenue, in association with Reading University questioned members of minority and disabled communities on the issues they face.

Charity co-ordinator John Green said: "The ethnic community is an evolving one, not a single community and is subject to influences not common to all. A 'one fit for all' approach is unlikely to be successful."
