MP opens pre-school

A £1 MILLION pre-school in Warminster was officially opened by West Wilts MP Dr Andrew Murrison on Friday.

The Early Years Centre, based at the Avenue Primary School, cares for children up to five years old. The centre, which can cater for over 100 children, is open 50 weeks a year.

Dr Murrison, along with Warminster mayor Martin Baker and representatives from the Army and police, attended the ceremony.

Paulette Cappell, head of the centre and assistant headteacher at The Avenue said: "The place looks amazing and is a testament to all the hard work everybody has put in."

The centre opened in November but the official opening took place this week.
