Five for Duncan as leaders goon a spree

QUEENSTOWN brightened the gloom on a day which saw many games postponed due to the weather.

The Division One side were the first club to reach 100 goals for the season when they trounced bottom club Rodbourne Reseves 7-0, Duncan Culley grabbing five, with Gary McGonagall and Allen Whitefield also scoring.

In the same division, AFC Abbey beat Eastville 2-0, Julian Virgilio and Aaron Sutter netting.

Down Ampney edged out Swindon Asians Reserves 2-1, with Ray McGrory and Neil Ruddock scoring for the winners. Rohul Amin got the Asians' reply.

In the Premier Division, Windmill closed the gap on leaders Ridgeway by beating them 2-1. Matthew Newman and Ricky Mazzotta got the Windmill goals, Ricky Cook scoring for Ridgeway.

A hat-trick for Daniel Hiscock was the highlight of Queensfield's 5-1 victory over Manor. Anthony McCusker and Tony Smith got the others, and Steve Hendry scored for Manor.

Southbrook overcame Liden Pumas 7-2. Their scorers were Gareth Walton (3), Lee Johnson (2), Matty Webster and Dave Pritchard with a penalty.

Dennis King and Paul Venables both fired in hat-tricks for the Green Baize in their 7-1 victory over South Marston. Derrick Pedley got the other, Craig Evendon replying.
