Gemma celebrates becoming a top temp

SWINDON worker Gemma Cusworth is celebrating on winning SJC Recruitment's first Temp of the Month award.

During December, SJC in Commercial Road asked employers to nominate any temp staff who had gone the extra mile during a placement.

SJC consultant Samantha Coombs said: "We were literally inundated with forms it was hard to choose the winner.

"It is fantastic to hear that our temps are out there doing an outstanding job and sharing their skills with many different companies."

The winner of December's competition was Gemma, a unit pricing administrator with Zurich Financial Services.

Her supervisor Dean Fisher said: "There really was no one better for the award than Gemma.

"Gemma has been on a temporary placement with us since September last year and although she has no previous industry experience, her ability to learn quickly has resulted in less of a need for direct supervision, whilst her accuracy and initiative has been crucial in meeting strict deadlines. Gemma is highly regarded among colleagues and a highly valued member of the team."

Since winning Temp of the Month Gemma has been offered a permanent position at Zurich.

SJC's Temp of the Month runs each month, with every winner receiving High Street vouchers of their choice.
