All safe on the road for drivers

FIVE Swindon drivers at logistics firm TDG have been given a Safe Driving Award by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

Wes Vater, Scott Marshall, Robert Mulhall and Andy Boccia, all based at TDG's Honda site in Swindon, have achieved between nine and five years of accident-free driving.

Mark Cammack gained his RoSPA LGV Advanced Driver Award in addition to five years accident-free driving.

Iain Lewis, TDG Swindon's transport maintenance manager, said: "We give training a high priority here in Swindon, and accident-free driving is a direct result of this."

TDG's safety director Peter Coghlan said: "All of our drivers follow our five-star continuous driver training programme, but it is always a bonus to receive external recognition for their hard work."
