Molly match-winner

HIGHWORTH Junior Girls reached the Under 10s League Cup final after a 1-0 win over Keynsham Town.

Keynsham dominated for long periods of the game but Highworth battled hard to keep them out.

Highworth's Bryonie Ellis and Megan Greening were on top form in defence.

And the breakthrough came just before half-time when a long clearance from goalkeeper Leanne Deane picked out, Molly Parker, who raced in on goal and scored.

In the second half Keynsham pressed for an equaliser, but Millie Humphries, Laura Mead and Lottie Downs in particular, worked hard to keep them out.

In the end Highworth pulled every player behind the ball as they hung on for victory.
