Teachers learn skill

TEACHERS from across Wiltshire have been invited to a special conference at Bristol University to discuss how best to deal with troublesome pupils.

Called Discipline With Dignity, it is based on a successful initiative launched in New York.

It provides teachers with the skills to recognise and resolve conflicts and advises teachers on how to define the limits of acceptable behaviour.

The same conference is also being held in London, Birmingham, Liverpool and York.

The Bristol conference will take place between 10am and 3pm on Tuesday, February 1.
