Briefing on Gap relief road plan

Planning committee members at West Wiltshire District Council were last night due to attend a briefing on the Hilperton Relief Road scheme.

The briefing was designed to help councillors get to grips with the complex and controversial scheme before it is debated at a later meeting.

Some councillors argued that even this briefing should have been held in public and were due to press for this last night.

The decision on the relief road will be taken at special meeting of the planning committee at Trowbridge Civic Hall at 7pm on January 28.
