Hospice helped by firm's gift

A HOSPICE in Winsley has received some extra cash help. Dorothy House has been given a cheque for £700 from Connaught Property Services, taking the total donated by the company to over £1,000 in a year.

Katrina Sudbury, deputy fundraising director for the charity, said: "We are delighted to receive this cheque from Connaught.

"We rely on the generosity of local companies to help support the care of 1,500 patients per year, and to receive this cheque on top of the £350 Connaught has already donated this year is a real bonus."

The money was raised through the firm's regional Christmas raffle as well as donations from supply chain partners, Premiere Kitchens and Shield Environmental.
