Older drivers to give input

THE Department for Transport is looking for people who sat driving tests more than 50 years ago to share their memories.

The department, together with the Driving Standards Agency, is marking the 70th anniversary of the driving test in June 2005 and is hoping to feature people's stories in publicity material.

The department would like to hear from people who experienced tests as either an instructor or driver in the 1930s, 40s or 50s and perhaps had a funny or unique experience.

People who have stories or experiences to tell should call Steph Earley on (0117) 900 3568 or email steph.early@gnn.gsi.gov.uk.
