Woodmancote v Biddestone

BIDDESTONE were victorious at Woodmancote in their first ever Wilts and Glos league game.

They were shocked to be 4 for 2 after being put in but a fine century by Michael Lodder (109) and great support from Adrian Hunt (37) and Matt Lennon (33) rescued the innings and the villagers fininshed on 207 for 9.

In reply Woodmancote were shaken by a fine spell from Dwaine Perry who took 4 for 48 and they finished19 runs short on 188 all out. A great start for Biddestone in the higher league.

Biddestone seconds entertained Woodmancote and were victorious by a comfortable seven wicket margin.

Mike Tasker was the pick of the Biddestone bowlers, ripping through the middle order with figures of 6-13. The visitors finished on 80 all out from 38 overs.

Aaron Bell made 34 and Chris Lawton 13 as as Biddestone cruised to 81-3 in the 21st over.
