AN extraordinary virtuoso performance by Calne's Courtney Earl took his side to a dramatic victory away to Biddestone with just one ball remaining. Batting first Biddestone made excellent progress thanks to Martin Sawyer (55), Joshua Boulton (40) and Paul Walden (20). Biddestone posted an impressive 201-8 in their 35 overs despite a late hat trick from Earl who took 4-12 from six overs.

The Calne innings was completely dominated by Earl who made an enthralling 157 not out to take Calne to a six wicket victory. A measure of Earl's dominance was that the other Calne batsmen contributed just 16 runs.

Going into the last over, Calne still required 18 runs to win but Earl hit twos off the first three balls and then finished the game with two sixes (Biddestone 8 points, Calne 22 points).

A maiden century by Chippenham captain James Vince took his side to 185-3 in their 35 overs. Vince scored 113 off 110 balls and hit three sixes and nine fours. James Bull (28 not out) supported Vince in a partnership of 118 for the third wicket. Vishal Patel with 1-17 off his seven overs for Swindon. They struggled against the bowling of Bull (6.2-1-11-3), Marcus Brown (6-3-3-2), and Chris Blewitt (3-0-6-2) and were dismissed for 63 to leave Chippenham victors by 122 runs (Chippenham 23 points, Swindon 1 point).

Cannings batted first at Purton and were rescued by a fine unbroken seventh wicket partnership between Owen Alsop (47 not out) and Connor Richardson (30 not out). Earlier Sam Williams had made 27 and Phil Neil took 2-53 for Purton. Cannings reached 186-6 in 35 overs. Aaron Lee (28) and Craig Miles (12) gave Purton a promising start but lost their way as Matt Tilley (4-1-10-2), Jake Roberts (7-2-12-2), and Henry Davies (6-2-9-3) bowled well for Cannings. But Purton held out for the draw as they finished on 68-7 (Purton six points, Cannings 13 points).

Westbury were all out for 112 at Malmesbury. In reply Malmesbury were dismissed for 80. (Malmesbury six points, Westbury 17)

PHIL Adams scored a chanceless 119 off 163 balls to help Chippenham reach 199-6 in 45 overs at home to Biddestone. Adams hit 11 fours and shared a third wicket partnership of 117 with James Vince (35). Josh Barnes dismissed Adams in the final over and went on to take a hat-trick to finish with 4-32 in nine overs. John McElhinney and Sam Boor (22) gave Biddestone a solid start but accurate Chippenham bowling put Biddestone behind the required rate.

Tim Rowson (2-17 off nine overs) and Adams (2-23) made inroads but it looked as if Biddestone would hold out for a draw until Matthew Whitehead and Scott Mackie took the final wickets in the 43rd and 44th overs. Biddestone were out for 138. (Chippenham 20 points, Biddestone six).
