11 dead in three months

'DEATH VALLEY' FEATURE: February 12: Two drivers, Adam Salters, 18, from Waterlooville and father-of-two Stuart Scurr, 36, of Amesbury, died after a head-on collision on the A36 between Heytesbury and Codford.

Mr Scurr's son walked away with minor injuries.

March 25: Three dead in a side-on collision between Seend Fork and Caen Hill. John Selway, 33, of Steeple Ashton and Graham and Nicole Smith of Potterne died.

March 28: Head-on collision on the A36 at Codford killed two people and injured four others. John Barnes, 80, and his wife Priscilla, 62, from Shepton Mallett died driving back from holiday on the Isle of Wight.

April 6: A 38-tonne lorry ploughed into a car at Stoney Gutter near Trowbridge killing three people. Tony and Gretta Brown, both in the 60s, were found dead at the scene and Iris Barnett, 80, passed away days later when her life support machine was switched off.

April 22: Robert Griffin, 26, from Frome became the latest statistic in a head-on collision outside Warminster. A 14-year-old girl and an unnamed man from Southampton are critical in hospital.
