Students invited to check out college's courses

Potential full-time students are invited to attend an open evening at Swindon College on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm.

The Regent Circus and North Star campuses will be open and Year 11 students and their parents will be able to chat to specialist lecturing and advice teams.

Adults interested in entering full time education are also welcome.

They can see what the college has to offer across a range of subjects at A-level, vocational A-level, GNVQ, GCSE and on modern apprenticeships.

Subject areas available include art and design, computing, construction, engineering, health, catering, the performing arts and sport.

Students can also find out more about the Government's new earn as you learn Education Maintenance Award scheme, which will pay 16-year-olds up to £30 a week for staying in higher education, depending on the level of their parents' income.

Transport will be provided between the two campuses.
