Swindon's touring youngsters endured a miserable time against their Bridport counterparts but there was a silver lining with a stunning victory over in-form Sherborne.
The under 14 team saw their match abandoned in the second half when Swindon prop James Newton suffered a neck injury.
Thankfully, Newton was later released from hospital with no lasting damage.
Swindon had started the game strongly but it was Bridport who opened the scoring with a converted try.
Two further tries followed for the Devon side but Darrell Clark scored his first try of the season for Swindon before the match came to a premature end.
Swindon's under 13s did finish their encounter with Bridport but, despite an impressive display, were beaten 32-17.
Swindon weathered the early storm against a well-drilled side as Luke Guest was forced into making a superb try-saving tackle before Bridport went over a few minutes later to open the scoring.
Ben Loosmoore hit back with a fine individual try but Bridport regained the lead with another touchdown.
Quick-thinking Loosmoore then scored from a quick tap penalty but Bridport moved clear in the second half and closed the game out.
The under 13s, though, bounced back to stun previously unbeaten Sherborne 7-5. Loosmoore scored Swindon's try as the Wiltshire side defended superbly to secure an upset.
