Six attack teenager

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an attack on a 16-year-old boy outside the Kentucky Fried Chicken food outlet at Greenbridge retail park on Tuesday evening.

About six youths assaulted the boy, who suffered head and facial injuries. He is now terrified of returning to the scene of the assault, according to PC Tanya Pearce of Swin-don Police.

"It is a busy retail park and there were lots of people about. There must have been somebody who saw this attack," she said.

The assault happened just after 9pm.

Police only have a description of one of the gang, who is white, more than 6ft tall, and was wearing a white hooded jumper.

PC Pearce urged anyone who might have seen what happened to contact her on 01793 528111.
