Rail fares go up

Train operator First Great Western, which serves Swindon commuters on its routes between London Paddington and South Wales and the South West, is to increase its fares from Sunday, May 23.

The prices of Apex, First Class Apex, Advance and SuperAdvance tickets will increase by an average of three per cent, while those of First Open tickets will increase by an average of 7.5 per cent and those of Standard Open tickets by an average of six per cent.
