SCHOOL computer software supplier Sherston has scooped an innovation award.
The Malmesbury-based company took out the Supplier of the Year: Companies With Over £3 Million Annual Turnover category at last month's Education Resources Awards.
Organised by Nexus Media and the British Educational Suppliers Association, the awards celebrate innovative companies working in the education suppliers industry.
To win, the firm had to fulfil a number of criteria including showing how its products meet the needs of schools, demonstrating customer care and standards of service to education.
Endorsements from teachers also played a part in the judging process.
The firm, which has been running for 18 years and has many ex-teachers in its staff helping in program design and marketing, was a joint winner with Bedfordshire firm Data Harvest.
Jamie Bayliss, Sherston commercial director, said: "It is a privilege to receive such an award as it recognises the dedication and hard work that has been put in by every member of our 150-strong global team."
