Lye brace seals Trophy joy

SECOND Division leaders Corsham Centre completed the first part of what they hope will be a glorious double by thumping West End Wanderers 4-0 in the Chippenham & District Sunday League's Rainbow Launderette-sponsored WG Parr Trophy at Corsham Town's Southbank Ground.

A healthy crowd of almost 200 saw Centre two up at the break, Simon Gray taking advantage of Andy Lawn's slip to open their account before man of the match James Lye's corner flew straight in.

Within a minute of the restart Lye made it 3-0 when he deflected Craig Gingell's shot home and Gray wrapped things up when he got to the ball ahead of Wanderers' keeper Martin Salter to prod home in the 75th minute.
