Firms' talks on safety in workplace

EMPLOYERS are risking a tribunal or potentially crippling fine because they are not prepared for new health and safety legislation, says new research.

In a recent poll by employment lawyers Peninsula 78 per cent of Wiltshire businesses said they did no feel confident they could comply with existing and new Government rules on health and safety.

In response to the poll, Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce has organised a Health and Safety seminar at Cumberwell Park, Bradford on Avon, to talk through the rules with employers so they can avoid legal liability in the future.
