A competition is under way to find the cemetery of the year and organisers are appealing for more entries from Wiltshire.
Last year London Road Cemetery in Chippenham was the only Wiltshire entry, and got through to the final stage.
The competition, now in its 7th year, aims to increase public awareness of the important role that cemeteries can play within the community.
Cemeteries, crematoria and burial grounds are all eligible and are assessed on a wide range of criteria including the level of maintenance, burial choice, imaginative landscaping and community involvement.
As many people are now opting for eco-friendly burials the competition has this year introduced a new category for exclusively for green burial sites.
A special award is also to be given for the best horticultural display.
Awards administrator Jessica Borton, said: "We hope this year will be even more successful.
"We hope that many green burial sites will enter as they are an increasingly important part of the burial industry."
The Cemetery of the Year competition is open to all British cemeteries, burial grounds, churchyards or crematoriums.
Those wishing to enter should contact Jessica Borton on 0207 463 2020 or jessica@mdacomms.com
