Rewards of being a father

YOUNG dads in Wiltshire are being given the chance to take part in a one-day event to celebrate fatherhood.

The Wiltshire Youth Arts Partnership has organised a day of workshops to help young fathers become more involved in bringing up their children.

Wiltshire County Council's youth arts co-ordinator, Angela Stribling, said: "Being a young dad can be very difficult and can end with fathers losing touch with their children.

"The art weekend is designed to help young dads learn about fatherhood, give them some new parenting skills and become more involved with their children.

"It is also about having fun, being creative and helping to build their self-esteem."
